Manual liquidity provision
Two tokens, one range, one mint.
The shape of it
A manual position is you supplying both sides of a pair over a price range you choose. No swap happens, so there is no entry swap fee and no entry price impact.
Amounts and what actually gets used
The ratio of the two tokens a position consumes is set by the range and the current price, not by you. Enter what you are willing to spend and the preview tells you how much of each token the mint will actually take, and how much will be left in your wallet.
If the price sits at one edge of your range, the position may consume almost entirely one token. That is normal concentrated-liquidity behaviour, not an error.
Minimum amounts
Between building the transaction and mining it, the pool price can move, which changes the ratio. The mint therefore carries amount0Min and amount1Min bounds derived from your slippage setting. If the pool has moved far enough that the mint would fall below those, the transaction reverts rather than depositing on terms you did not agree to.
A reverted mint still costs gas. It does not cost you the deposit.
The transaction sequence
- 1
Approve token 0, if needed
Exact amount by default. Skipped when the allowance already covers it.
- 2
Approve token 1, if needed
Same rule. Each approval is its own transaction and its own gas.
- 3
Mint
Uniswap’s canonical position manager creates the position NFT and pulls both token amounts in one call.
What counts as confirmed
A successful receipt status on its own is not accepted as proof that a position exists. SquirtFi requires the zero-address NFT transfer to the expected recipient and the matching liquidity event in the same receipt. Anything else is reported as uncertain, and the flow does not offer a retry, because a broadcast whose outcome is unknown must never be sent twice.
