How SquirtFi works
The pieces involved, and which of them SquirtFi controls.
The pieces
Five things are involved when you use SquirtFi, and only one of them belongs to SquirtFi.
| Piece | What it does | Who controls it |
|---|---|---|
| Your wallet | Holds your tokens and your keys. Signs every transaction. | You |
| Robinhood Chain | The network. Chain ID 4663, gas paid in ETH. | Robinhood |
| Uniswap v3 / v4 contracts | Hold the pooled liquidity and mint the position NFT. | Uniswap protocol, deployed on this chain |
| The SquirtFi interface | Builds calldata, shows previews, explains the numbers. | SquirtFi |
| The SquirtFi indexer and accounting engine | Reads chain events and prices, produces scores and PnL. | SquirtFi |
What happens when you add liquidity
- 1
SquirtFi reads the chain
Pool state, your balances, your allowances, all pinned to one block.
- 2
SquirtFi builds a plan
Amounts, minimum outputs, a deadline, and the exact calldata. It also simulates the call so a transaction that would revert is caught before you are asked to sign.
- 3
Your wallet signs
The transaction goes from your wallet to the chain. SquirtFi never holds a key and cannot sign on your behalf.
- 4
Uniswap contracts execute
The position NFT is minted to your address by Uniswap’s canonical position manager. It is a Uniswap position, not a SquirtFi asset.
- 5
The indexer catches up
Events and gas are read back and folded into your Portfolio. This lags the chain by design, and the interface tells you when it does.
What SquirtFi does not control
- Your keys, your tokens, and your ability to move them.
- The Uniswap contracts. SquirtFi calls canonical deployments; it does not own or upgrade them.
- Pool prices, swap flow, or whether a pool earns anything.
- The chain, its sequencer, or its gas market.
- The Chainlink price feeds used to value positions.
